Jordan
January 29-February 2, 2027Day 1
Amman-Um Al Rassas-Dead Sea-Wadi Rum
Discover the rich artistic and spiritual heritage of central Jordan with a visit to Madaba and Um al-Rassas. In Madaba, explore vibrant Byzantine mosaics, including the famous Madaba Map—one of the oldest depictions of the Holy Land—set within historic churches and a welcoming town atmosphere. Continue to the UNESCO-listed ruins of Umm ar-Rasas, where quiet desert surroundings reveal the remains of an ancient Roman-Byzantine settlement, complete with remarkably preserved mosaic floors and early Christian sites. Together, these destinations offer a fascinating blend of living culture and ancient history.
The Dead Sea is a hyper saline lake between Israel and Jordan and is known as the lowest point on Earth at 440 meters below sea level. It has 34% salinity that allows one to float freely. Here we will take an opportunity at the beach to explore this unique, salty, sea. We will have some time at a resort that offers towels, chairs, and fresh showers.
We then continue South to Wadi Rum to stay at our desert camp. We will be staying in tents within the Wadi Rum. These tents have air conditioning/heater and a bathroom.
Day 2
Wadi Rum-Petra
We start out our day with a nice breakfast and then a 4×4 jeep tour to explore the rugged terrain of Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum is a protected desert area known as the “Valley of the Moon” for its rugged, lunar-like landscapes or red rock. sand, and granite mountains.
We head North to Petra to check into our hotel. We’ll attend Petra by Night where candles will guide our way through Petra’s dramatic canyon ending at the Treasury. We will watch the sound and light show that is projected on the red rock walls and the Treasury. We’ll sleep in town to return here first thing in the morning.
Day 3
We will wake up in the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, where towering canyon walls lead you through the iconic Siq to the breathtaking Treasury. We will spend our day exploring rock-carved tombs, climbing to panoramic viewpoints like the Monastery if desired, and wandering through vast desert landscapes filled with history at every turn. After we’ve had our feel of this New Seven Wonders of the World we head North to the baptism site of Jesus.
Located along the Jordan River, this sacred site—known as Bethany Beyond the Jordan—is believed to be where Jesus may have been baptized. Surrounded by quiet desert landscapes, it remains an active pilgrimage destination, offering a powerful and reflective connection to one of Christianity’s most significant moments.
We continue to Mount Nebo. Perched high above the Jordan Valley, Mount Nebo is the biblical site where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land. Visitors are rewarded with sweeping views stretching toward the Dead Sea and beyond, along with ancient mosaics and a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere.

Just north of Amman, its remarkably intact ruins include grand colonnaded streets, soaring temples, and a massive oval plaza that once formed the heart of a thriving Roman city. From the echoes of footsteps in its ancient theaters to the towering columns of the Temple of Artemis, Jerash delivers an immersive glimpse into life nearly 2,000 years ago—set against the scenic hills of northern Jordan.
