Egypt Women’s Tour 2026

8 night/8 day Deluxe Egypt Tour

This is no ordinary Egyptian tour. This is a highly curated, premium tour, where you will see all the highlights of Egypt, but we delve deeper into Ancient Egypt by going places other tours don’t go. We will visit inside pyramids others don’t see, we will see extra burial tombs, we will hire a private motor boat to discover the Nile and local villages, we’ll eat with the locals in Cairo, and so many other hidden gems. This is not a normal Egypt tour, this is a tour you don’t know you want until you’ve done it, this is a tour of a lifetime!

As an experienced traveler, I’ve been to Egypt several times, and each time I go, I find new things that are off the beaten path that I then add into my tour. It’s hard to know what you want to do until you go and see what you’re missing out on. I have found all those little extra gems to ensure that our days are packed full of exciting places to see and adventures to do. I figure you’re probably only going to Egypt once, so let’s do our best to see as much as possible! I use an amazing Egyptologist who has a PhD in Egyptology and she is with us the whole tour. She knows just the right amount of information to give as we travel and she builds on that information throughout the tour. You’ll go home with not only great photos, but a deeper knowledge and understanding of Egyptian civilization old and new. I hope you’ll join us!

Day 1 & 2

Cairo-Museums-Mummies-Mosques-Pyramids-Camels

We will start off our day at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (the NMEC). Here we will see THE famous royal mummies whose tombs and temples we will see throughout our trip. We will then proceed to see Sultan Hassan and Al Rifa’i mosques. These are historic buildings built in the 1300's and 1800's. We will end the day at the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) that has been in the building process since 2002 and is magnificent to see!

The next day we will go to Giza and walk amongst the sphinx and the pyramids. We’ll catch a ride on the camels with the pyramids in the background. We’ll travel South to Saqqara to see the first ever pyramid, the Step Pyramid. We will go inside smaller pyramids and tombs at this large complex. We’ll then go for a high adventure by exploring inside the Bent and Red pyramids. We’ll eat lunch at a local farm.

Day 3 & 4

Luxor-Tombs and Temples-Cruise

We will fly south to Luxor. On the West Bank we will explore The Valley of the Kings. These pharaohs tombs are magnificent with hieroglyphics and paint that adorn the walls leading us down into the burial chamber where we’ll see the empty sarcophagus (the mummies we’ll have already seen). We will explore the Tombs of the Nobles in a nearby valley to see how the Egyptian elites were prepared for the afterlife.

As a women’s only group, it makes sense to visit Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple. She was the only ruling Queen of ancient Egypt. Here you’ll see what she contributed to the kingdom by reading the walls full of hieroglyphics.

We will see the famous and large temple complex of Karnak and Luxor Temples. We will see the large statues of Colossi of Memnom. We’ll begin our cruise up the Nile towards Aswan.

Optional hot air ballon ride on day 4 that overlooks where the West Bank desert meets up with the farmland watered by the Nile.

Day 5 & 6

Nile Cruise-Temples-Aswan

Cruising up the Nile we will drink in the scenery from the top of the ship viewing the farmland, palm trees, and warm weather. We will see Edfu Temple in the morning and Kom Ombo Temple along with the Crocodile Mummy Museum in the afternoon. Each temple is unique with special hieroglyphics on the walls; yet the temples have a classic template that the Egyptians used through the ages . The preservation of these temples is pretty amazing.

In Aswan we’ll explore via private motor boat to our various destinations beginning with the Philae Temple. We’ll then boat across the Nile to do a small 1.5 mile hike/walk to the Tombs of the Nobles where we will get private access to see these Middle Kingdom Tombs. We’ll then motor upriver to a local Nubian village to see how the locals live (henna available here). We’ll finish our day by visiting the Aswan spice market.

Day 7 & 8

Abu Simbel-Travel

We’ll depart the cruise ship and take a private bus to Abu Simbel, a major highlight of our trip. We will arrive after the crowds to enjoy these two temples: King Ramses II Temple and his wife, Nefertari’s Temple. We’ll check into our resort in Abu Simbel and eat lunch overlooking Lake Nasser. At dusk, we will return to the Abu Simbel temples to experience the light and sound show. It’s magnificent seeing the grandeur of these temples at night.

The next day we will return to Aswan for our return flight to Cairo.
