Egypt Women’s Tour 2026
This is no ordinary Egyptian experience. This highly curated, premium tour, hits all the highlights of Egypt and so much more.
Day 1
Cairo-Museums-Mummies-Mosques
We will start off with breakfast and be on our way to tour the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (the NMEC). Here we will see THE famous royal mummies whose tombs and temples we will see throughout our trip. Some of these mummies still have eyelashes and braids in their hair! We will then proceed to see Sultan Hassan and Al Rifa’i mosques. These are historic buildings built in the 1300's and 1800's. We will have a local lunch of Kosheri which is bound to be a favorite. We will end the day at the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) that has been in the building process since 2002! It has opened to see most of it, but as of now it says it’ll be fully open in July 2025.
Day 2
Pyramids-Sphinx-Camels
A walk to the sphinx with the surrounding pyramids will immerse you in the ancient world. We will walk amongst the famous pyramids of Giza with a classic camel ride. We’ll then continue on to Saqqara, to see first pyramid ever built, known as the Step Pyramid. In Saqqara there is a lot to see. We’ll go in some smaller pyramids and visit some nobles tombs that still have original paint and hieroglyphics on the walls. We will continue onto Dasher to adventure inside the Bent Pyramid (that started at a 54 degree pitch and was changed to a 43 degree to get the job done) and Red Pyramid to see the burial chambers.
Day 3
Luxor-The Day of Tombs and Temples
We will fly south to Luxor. On the West Bank we will explore The Valley of the Kings (My favorite!). These pharaohs tombs are magnificent with hieroglyphics and paint that adorn the walls leading us down into the burial chamber where we’ll see the empty sarcophagus (the mummies we’ll have already seen). We will explore the Tombs of the Nobles in a nearby valley to see how the pharaohs leaders were cared for and buried.
As a women’s only group, it makes sense to visit Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple. This large temple complex was attempted to be erased by the next male ruler. Here you’ll see what she contributed to the kingdom by reading the walls full of hieroglyphs.
We’ll see the Colossi of Memnom statues.
Day 4
Luxor-Temples-Cruise Begins
Our day will begin with an optional hot air ballon ride. This leaves from the West Bank and we’ll look over the Valley of the Kings, Tombs of the Nobles, Queen Hatshepsut’s temple, Colossi of Memnom and other temples and ruins. The stark contrast between the barren desert and the fertile farmland watered by the Nile is impressive.
We will visit the world famous Karnak Temple. It is a HUGE temple complex that multiple pharaohs added onto for many years. Inside this temple there are rows of large pillars so wide that it takes 10 people, holding hands, to surround one pillar. We’ll continue to the nearby Luxor Temple. In the afternoon we will return to the cruise ship to begin sailing.
